After being married a year, the couple went to the hospital for the birth of their first child.

The attending nurse came out of the delivery room to congratulate the old gentleman and said,

'Thisis amazing. How do you do it at your age?'

The old man grinned and said, 'You got to keep the old motor running.'

The following year, the couple returned to the hospital for the birth of their second child.

The same nurse was attending the delivery and again went out to congratulate the old gentleman.

She said, 'Sir, you are something! How do you manage it?'

The old man grinned and said, 'You gotta keep the old motor running.'

A year later, the couple returned to the hospital for the birth of their third child.

The same nurse was there for this birth also and, after the delivery, she once again approached the old gentleman, smiled, and said, 'Well, you surely are something awesome! How do you do it?'

The old man replied, 'It's like I've told you before, you gotta keep the old motor running.'

The nurse, still smiling, patted him on the back and said: Well, I guess it's time to change the oil. This one is black!'

Wife's cat

A man who absolutely hated his wife's cat decided to get rid of him one day by driving him 20 blocks from his home and leaving him at the park.

As he was nearing home, the cat was walking up the driveway.

The next day, he decided to drive the cat 40 blocks away and try the same thing.

As he was driving back into his driveway, there was the cat! He kept taking the cat farther and farther away, but the darn cat would always beat him home.

At last, he decided to drive a few miles away, turn right, then left, past the bridge, then right again and another right and so on until he reached what he thought was a safe distance from his home and he left the cat there.

Hours later, the man calls home to his wife: "Jen, is the cat there?". "Yes," the wife answers. "Why do you ask?"

Frustrated, the man answers: "Put that damn cat on the phone. I'm lost and I need directions!"

How to Get a Good Night's Sleep

By Robin Lloyd,LiveScience

Improved sleep behavior and attitudes do more good than sleeping pills for the treatment of insomnia, experts at a recent National Institutes of Health Consensus Conference agreed, says

Daniel Kripke of the University of California, San Diego.

The changes Kripke recommends:

* Do not take sleeping pills. This includes over-the-counter pills
And melatonin.

* Don't go to bed until you're sleepy. If you have trouble sleeping,
try going to bed later or getting up earlier.

* Get up at the same time every morning, even after a bad night's sleep. The next night, you'll be sleepy at bedtime.

* If you wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back to sleep, get out of bed and return only when you are sleepy.

* Avoid worrying, watching TV, reading scary books, and doing other things in bed besides sleeping and sex. If you worry, read thrillers or watch TV, do that in a chair that's not in the bedroom.

* Do not drink or eat anything caffeinated within six hours of Bedtime.

* Avoid alcohol. It's relaxing at first but can lead to insomnia when it clears your system.

* Spend time outdoors. People exposed to daylight or bright light therapy sleep better.

What is 710 ?

This doesn't mean all women are stupid when it comes to cars....But there always are (a lot of) exceptions!!

Yesterday I was having some work done at the Ford dealer. A woman came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten.

We all looked at each other, and the mechanic asked,"What is a seven-hundred- ten?"

She replied, "You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine.I lost it and need a new one. It had always been there."

The mechanic gave the woman a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710 !!

He then took her over to another car which had the hood up and asked, "Is there a 710 on this car?"

She pointed and said, "Of course, it's right there."

Now go to the photo below to learn what a 710 is.........

Enormous Cracks

See the diagonal line that runs through the orchard in the incredible photo above? That's the san andreas fault - a point where the edges of 2 tectonic plates meet - producing a visible displacement amongst the rows of trees. When they were planted years ago the rows were straight, but as the 2 ginormous land masses moved in opposite directions and rubbed against each other over the years the orchard was split. The top half of the field sits on the pacific plate, the bottom half on the north american plate.

Here's another fault line. It's called álfagjá rift valley and can be found in reykjanes, iceland. At one point along the rift the two plates (eurasian and north american), have been connected by the miðlína bridge, seen in the photo. on the left: eurasia, on the right: North America.

Another frightening tectonic rift, Thingvellir, Iceland.

The incredible walls of a huge tectonic crack in aguateca, used as a defense by the mayas. The rift is 1 ½ km long and measures between 2 and 10 metres wide.Tectonic rifts of this magnitude usually develop at a rate too slow for the human eye to notice. However back in september 2005, a 60km long collection of cracks opened up in ethiopia's afar region, all over the space of 3 weeks. Over the next year the fissures widened until in september 2006 a volcanic vent opened up and blew open a ½ km long crack. The area in question - the afar triangle - is a meeting point of 3 tectonic plates and geologists predict that soon (by soon they mean approximately 10 million years) it will sink and become a new ocean basin, splitting the continent apart.

Al-Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Almarhum Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin, GCMG (born July 15, 1946) is the 29th Sultan of Brunei, the eldest son of Omar Ali Saifuddin Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the previous sultan.

Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah Bolkiah is the sultan's heir, born by Queen Saleha. By 2005 he had four sons and six daughters with Queen Saleha and his former second wife, Queen Mariam. In accordance with Islam, Bruneian men are allowed four wives, but thesultan only has two, with Queen Anak Saleha being designated his first wife. His first second wife, Queen Mariam, was a former air hostess whom he divorced in 2003, stripping her of all her royal titles. In August 2005 her place was taken by a former Malaysian TV3 presenter, Azrinaz Mazhar Hakim, who is 32 years younger than thesultan.

An Air Force Lt. General wrote:

'I toured this aircraft as it was being 'remodeled' in Texas.

Yes, the sinks are solid gold and one of them is Lalique crystal. The Sulton bought the
aircraft brand new for roughly $100 Million dollars.

He had it flown to Texas from the Boeingfactoryand had the interior
completely removed. Then, he had the folks at E- Systems install $120 Million
worth of improvements inside and outside.

I have gained entrance to nuclear weapons storage areas much easier than it was gaining
entrance to see this airplane. While there it struck me . Maybe the rich really are different than the rest of us.
And we're paying for this through the price of oil!
